Leeds United fans have offered a mixed response to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on Ezgjan Alioski’s future at the club.
The 29-year-old’s contract at Elland Road is due to expire in the summer, with no sign yet that he will extend his stay at Leeds.
Bielsa told Leeds Live that he ‘doesn’t have a clear’ idea as to what decision Alisoki is going to take regarding his future, but made it clear that if he stays then he will be ‘satisfied’.
The key thing is that Alioski isn’t a regular in Yorkshire, but his versatility is used around the pitch.
So, if he is looking for regular game time then he won’t get it at Elland Road, but he’s still more than capable of being a strong squad player.
Some Leeds fans would be happy for Alioski to stay on beyond this summer, but others have made it clear that he’s simply not good enough.
Either way, it does seem as though Bielsa is content with him staying on and if the player decides to do just that then it should be enough for all parties associated.
