Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has told Leeds Live that winger Jack Harrison has progressed under him.

Marsch made the comments about Harrison, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, following Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Southampton at Elland Road in the Premier League at the weekend.

The 25-year-old scored in the 29th minute.

Marsch was appointed the Leeds head coach just over a month ago, and he believes that he has seen a development and progress in Harrison.

The American coach said about Harrison: “I feel like Jack is becoming a really solid, clear, intelligent, intensive player for us.

“So you know, obviously, we want to keep developing him and keep pushing him but I’ve been really happy with the progress that he’s made over the last month and I think if he can continue to understand tactically and understand the mentality of the way we want to play, that he can get better and better and better.

“So yeah, and then I think again, all the players ahead of the ball will be able to put together more more dangerous actions and find more goals.”

Important player

In our opinion, Harrison is an important player for Leeds who has done well for the club over the years.

The 25-year-old helped Leeds get to the Premier League and has done his bit in keeping the club in the English top flight.

The Leeds no. 22 has scored six goals and given one assist in 25 Premier League starts for the Whites so far this season.

Harrison is still only 25 now, and he is going to improve and get better in the coming years.

We are not surprised that Harrison has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

Earlier this month, The Telegraph reported that Tottenham wanted to sign Harrison from Premier League rivals Leeds in the January transfer window and plan to make a bid for him in the summer transfer window.
