Thierry Henry has praised Tottenham transfer target, James Ward-Prowse, and stated ‘he can finish’, as he told CBS Sports.
The legendary striker was responding to claims from Micah Richards that he would pick the Southampton midfielder as the player to take a penalty to ‘save his life’.
Ward-Prowse is known for his dead-ball qualities and he showcased that to even higher heights and standards this season in the Premier League.
Over the course of the campaign, the England international scored ten Premier League goals and supplied five assists.
Nonetheless, this is what Richards and Henry had to say about Ward-Prowse and his ability from set-pieces.
“You have one penalty to save your life, which player in the history of football do you ask to take it,” asked Kate Abdo.
Micah Richards responded: “I would go with James Ward-Prowse. He is excellent.”
Henry then interrupted: “Sorry?” And Richards then repeated: “James Ward-Prowse.”
Henry then added: “Oh, okay. He can finish. James Ward-Prowse can finish.”

WARD-PROWSE WOULD BE A BRILLIANT SIGNING FOR TOTTENHAM
At Southampton, Ward-Prowse has showcased his ability to play in a packed midfield, as well as a two-man midfield.
Antonio Conte has a two-man midfield in north London and Ward-Prowse would argue that he could push ahead of either Rodrigo Bentancur or Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – they are interested in signing the Englishman.
Now, from a purely defensive standpoint, both are much better than Ward-Prowse, but he has much better qualities going forward.
And Tottenham need a bit more forward-thinking ability in the middle of the pitch, not forgetting what Ward-Prowse would provide from dead-ball situations.
