Speaking on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily Podcast, Alan Hutton has been full of praise for Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie.
Hutton was speaking about the Scotland squad, and he believes that Christie could be a key player for Steve Clarke’s side this summer at the European Championships.
What’s been said?
Hutton, despite his links to Rangers, had no issue in praising Christie.
“We all know he’s a talented player. You can even hear it in his voice there. He’s trying to hold it back, but you can tell. He’s one of a number of players that have definitely got something. Even if he doesn’t start, he can change a game. He’s got that spark about him, he’ll play his part whether he’s in the starting XI or not,” Hutton said.

Top player
Scotland may need the odd moment of magic if they’re going to get anywhere at the Euros, and Christie may be the man who can provide that.
The midfielder just has that something special about him, and while he may not be the first name on the teamsheet for Steve Clarke this summer, he’s a great option to have off the bench.
The fact that Hutton, with his links to Rangers, is such a massive fan of the Celtic man shows just how talented he is.
Fingers crossed the Celtic ace can make a difference at the Euros this summer and produce a moment that the Tartan Army will remember for years to come.
