Aston Villa supporters on Twitter have made it clear that Jack Grealish is going nowhere after reports emerged about Liverpool being keen on his services.

The Mirror claimed that Liverpool have joined both Manchester United and Manchester City in the race for the technically-gifted Villa midfielder.

A selection of Villa supporters cannot see such a deal happening and have brushed off the claims.

Whilst contracts don’t mean an awful lot, Grealish did pen a new deal before the start of the new campaign, so it would take something special to prize him away from the Midlands.

Grealish is Villa’s best players, boyhood fan and their academy product. Plus, under the stewardship of the forward-thinking Dean Smith, the club are trying to get back to their European glory days.

So, in order for that to happen, they need their star man to remain at the club and if ever the situation arises that they have to part ways with him then a serious amount of money needs to be put on the table.

Liverpool’s trophies under Jurgen Klopp

  1. Champions League

    2018/19

  2. UEFA Super Cup

    2019

  3. FIFA Club World Cup

    2019

  4. Premier League

    2019/20

It would be one big surprise if someone like Liverpool, who have enough world-class talents in their forward areas, would push for Grealish’s talents even if he is regarded as one of the best playmakers in the country.

Nonetheless, those at Villa Park are adamant he will stay put as they reacted to the recent rumours:
