Tottenham Hotspur fans are reacting to the news that midfielder Moussa Sissoko is a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award.

It has been quite a turnaround for the 29-year-old, who joined Spurs in 2016 for a then club record transfer fee of £30 million.

Sissoko was considered a monumental flop and one of the worst signings in the history of the Premier League.

The former Newcastle United man has only scored one goal in 66 Premier League appearances for the club.

However, with Tottenham suffering from a post-World Cup injury crisis, Sissoko has had to step in and, to the surprise of many, he has performed admirably.

He has started Spurs’ last seven Premier League games; a personal record since joining the club.

The midfielder has been energetic, defensively responsible and a driving force, highlighted by his surging run against Inter Milan in the Champions League that eventually resulted in Spurs scoring the only goal of the game.

His stellar performances has led to a nomination for November’s Premier League Player of the Month award, and Tottenham fans have had their say.

It is all credit to Sissoko that he has managed a quite remarkable turnaround at a club where his days seemed numbered.

The abuse from fans has turned into adulation, and a nomination for the best player in the league last month is just reward for his efforts.
