Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny has struggled since returning from his long term Achilles injury.

Laurent Koscielny has been less than convincing after returning from injury, with Arsenal fans questioning whether or not he was rushed back or is finished altogether.
It was a significant injury the French international received last May in the Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.
Now 33, an Achilles injury as bad as Koscielny’s can force players to retire at his age.
However, the centre half has clearly worked extremely hard to get back to fitness, although he has put in extremely worrying performances against Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in particular.
Southampton scored three uncontested headers in their defeat of Arsenal, a symptom of an Achilles injury with Koscielny clearly struggling to jump and move.
It was a similar situation last night, as Koscielny got caught in no mans land, not trusting his ability to keep up with Dele Alli as the Englishman went through to score and make it 2-0 to Spurs.

Arsenal have a crisis in defence with injuries to Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding, forcing Unai Emery to throw Koscielny in perhaps earlier than was planned.
