Tottenham Hotspur can be the team to end Chelsea’s unbeaten run

Tottenham Hotspur should inflict Maurizio Sarri’s first league loss as Chelsea boss.

Chelsea are one place and one point above their London rivals Tottenham, after an unbeaten start to the league season.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have also started well, and could climb above Chelsea if they manage to win at Wembley.

Whilst Sarri has made a great start to life as Chelsea boss, with his identity already being implemented into the side, there has certainly been an element of good fortune to Chelsea’s season so far.

After Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United on the 20th October, the Blues had given opposition teams a total of 17 clear cut chances in the league, but had conceded only twice from those chances.

With the talent on display, Spurs are unlikely to be as generous.

Sarri is also extremely reliant on the creativity and individual magic of Eden Hazard. Without their star man, the Blues lack creativity in the side.

Not only that, Alvaro Morata is hardly the most convincing of strikers.

Spurs have been famously strong in defence under Pochettino, and will fancy their chances of combating Chelsea’s attack.

Pochettino’s side are yet to hit top gear in terms of performance this season, however with Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli edging back towards full fitness, hopes are high in North London that they will get back to their fluid best.

Alli has scored four league goals against the Blues, with two of them being created by the Dane.

The England internatioanl also scored an FA Cup semi final goal against Chelsea, again, created by Eriksen.

The pair should have lots of success on Saturday as Jorginho, despite being an excellent passer and facilitator of attacks, leaves lots of space either side of him, and has an issue with tracking runners.

N’Golo Kante being pushed further forward this season should also leave Spurs’ attacking stars with even more space to exploit.

It will be an intriguing game between the London rivals on Saturday, and Spurs should have enough in their locker to inflict Chelsea’s first league defeat of the season.
