Arsenal have reportedly told Aaron Ramsey he won’t be offered a new deal to stay beyond this season, but they should change their mind.

Ramsey has been with the North Londoners since 2008, joining from Cardiff City for £5 million.
Negotiations seemed to be nearing a positive conclusion only a few months back according to the Express, but were ended abruptly.
However, Ramsey’s second half appearance versus rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend showed exactly why the Gunners must do everything they can to keep the 27-year-old in North London beyond the summer.
With the Gunners losing 2-1 at half-time, Unai Emery brought on Ramsey, as well as Alexandre Lacazette.
However, despite Lacazette scoring the winner, it was the introduction of Ramsey that changed the game and helped Arsenal turn it around to win 4-2.
Ramsey offers qualities Arsenal do not currently have elsewhere in their squad.

The Welshman’s off the ball movement is exceptional, proven by his run beyond the forward line yesterday, allowing him to set up Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ramsey’s willingness to work off the ball offers a different dimension to Arsenal’s typical style of player who prefers to receive the ball to feet. His movement disrupted what was beginning to look like a comfortable back-line for Spurs.
Ramsey is also a big game player.
The number eight has scored the winning goal in two out of three FA Cup final victories for Arsenal.
The fact that Ramsey was an integral part in Arsenal’s most impressive victory under new manager Unai Emery may convince the Spaniard to reconsider his decision to let the long serving Welshman leave.
