Nottingham Forest are expected to be back in for Brondby goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow in January.

Forest had three bids rebuffed for the Denmark international in the summer, according to The Nottingham Post, but a new development has given them renewed hope of finally signing him.

The Post cites reports from Denmark claiming that Ronnow is going to dump agent John Sivebaek, the former defender who won the 1992 European Championships, for a new agent.
This change of representation might put pressure on Brondby into selling the 25-year-old stopper, who has made 100 appearances for the club since joining from AC Horsens in 2015.

Jordan Smith is Forest’s current number one and has started all 22 Championship games this season, but Mark Warburton seemingly wants greater competition for the academy graduate.
Forest’s back-up goalkeepers, Dimitar Evtimov and Stephen Henderson, only have 18 senior appearances for the club between them and may be moved on if Ronnow does come in next month.
