The 24-year-old was linked with West Ham United in the summer.
According to Tuttosport, it’s Inter Milan’s “dream” to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The Italian publication claims that Inter boss Luciano Spalletti would “sacrifice” a “big player” if he could get his hands on the Chilean – and that should be West Ham United’s cue to renew an interest in signing Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in January.
The 24-year-old, rated at £18 million by Transfermarkt, was linked with a move to West Ham during the summer in a proposed swap deal which would have seen Angelo Ogbonna move the other way, though the Irons’ defender was reportedly unhappy with the motion.
But Hammers boss Slaven Bilic could have a new ticket to Brozovic and it seems unlikely that he would be needed at San Siro if Inter spend big money on the Bayern star.
The East Londoners have managed three goals from midfield this season, which is okay, but it’s not brilliant either and another goalscoring option wouldn’t go amiss.
Brozovic, who has two goals in three Serie A starts, is in line to record his best-ever season in that respect, having never scored more than four in a single campaign, and he is also a creative option which, simply put, West Ham can’t turn their nose up at for now.
