Sean Dyche sarcastically asked whether Burnley have signed Harry Kane after he was questioned about the Tottenham striker in his pre-match press conference.
Sky Sports have reported that Kane has once again expressed his desire to leave Tottenham as the Englishman searches for trophies.
Even though Kane could end the season by being the top goal goalscorer and assist maker, his Tottenham side once again leave empty-handed when it comes to trophies and have also missed out on Champions League football again.
This was Dyche’s brilliant reaction to being questioned about Kane, as he was building up to facing Liverpool tonight.
“What have we signed him,” asked Dyche. “Have we put our hands in our pockets and signed him? Fantastic news.
“I am sorry. I got mixed up with news you thought you were going to say.
“He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic professional, so if there is any truth in it then he will be partly to do with that truth. I am sure of that.
“I am sure he knows enough people at Tottenham with his past and connections there. I am sure he and relevant people will know. But until it’s an actual factual story then I don’t really know what I am talking about.”

The platform has been set for Tottenham in recent years to be in a position that someone like Leicester now find themselves in.
FA Cup winners, a squad full of promise, added with experience, but the best is yet to come.
But Daniel Levy clearly prioritised moving into a new stadium over refreshing the squad when it needed it most.
Now, Spurs fans are looking towards that Mauricio Pochettino era and thinking ‘what if’ because if Kane does end up heading for the exit door then Levy has to take a serious chunk of the blame.
