Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Richarlison, but Everton can’t get Marco Silva to manage them.

Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing Richarlison from Watford may have taken a blow, following the news that Marco Silva is set to stay at Vicarage Road.

The London Evening Standard have suggested how Tottenham are desperate to sign the Brazilian from the Hornets.

But any chance of a January transfer taking place, may well have been ended by Silva’s decision to stay.

Silva had been linked with the Everton job, but the Independent say that he will not be leaving Watford and that could be bad news for Spurs.

If Silva had gone, that would surely have unsettled a number of Watford players, including Richarlison.

Silva has got the very best out of the 20-year-old winger since he arrived at Vicarage Road, and if he had joined Everton it would be been a huge blow for the Hornets.

But his commitment, should encourage others to stay – and that will disrupt Tottenham’s transfer plans.

Whether Spurs would have moved for Richarlison in January is up for debate anyway, but there is surely no chance of the Brazilian leaving Watford now.
