Tottenham Hotspur pulled out of the race to sign Andre Gomes, and Everton have snapped him up for a bargain fee.

Tottenham Hotspur may have missed out on one of the bargains of the summer, with Andre Gomes heading to Everton for just over £22 million.
That has allowed Everton to get a deal done with Barca for the Portuguese man, and they have appeared to have done some brilliant business.
Everton have got Gomes for a far cheaper fee than expected, and he now represents a brilliant value for money signing.
To bring in a player of Gomes’s quality for just £22 million is some feat for Everton, and Spurs may now regret not pushing on with a deal.
Gomes is proven in the Premier League, he has the technical ability to thrive at White Hart Lane and he would have solved a problem in Pochettino’s squad by offering them more depth in midfield.

Tottenham do have other targets on their radar, but if they fail to bring in the likes of Tanguy Ndombele or Giovani Lo Celso then they will be forced to look elsewhere.
And Spurs may well end up regretting not pushing for Gomes, as Everton appear to have secured one of the best deals of the summer.
