While Richarlison has picked up praise, Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez is doing something a lot harder.

Watford winger Richarlison has been rightly praised as one of the best signings of the summer – but Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez is a level above.
Richarlison has been great, but he came into the league with no expectation at a bargain price tag.
Tottenham centre-back Sanchez arrived as a club record signing at £42 million, one of the most expensive defenders in Premier League history.

He has unlike Richarlison been plunged into a more high pressure situation, playing in Premier League games with even greater scrutiny, and Champions League matches.
Sanchez last night was terrific once again as Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund for a second time this season, following up two a win and a draw against Real Madrid.

One of the biggest indicators Sanchez has been a coup for Spurs is that his price tag is rarely mentioned by pundits like it hung on Moussa Sissoko and Roberto Soldado in their debut seasons at the club where they failed to perform.
The Colombian is approaching the stage where his fee will begin to look like a bargain, especially if he performs well at the World Cup next summer.
Already Spurs look astute, and his acquisition looks even smarter considering the way £30 million Victor Lindelof has flopped at Manchester United.
Signing of the season? Considering the pressure and level of competition, he just might be.
