Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Sport reported that there’s the possibility of Saul being brought to Anfield in a deal that could see Jordan Henderson go the other way.
Indeed, the Spanish outlet have reported that the Atletico Madrid midfielder could join the Merseyside club, but the deal could be a part-exchange involving Henderson.
As you can imagine, Liverpool fans had plenty to say about this, and the main response from the fanbase was that of bewilderment.
Indeed, supporters are rather confused by this report, and to be honest, so are we.
We understand that Saul is a fantastic footballer, and he’s reportedly one of the Reds’ top targets, but the idea of Liverpool letting their captain go in a swap deal doesn’t make much sense.
Henderson is a vital cog in the Liverpool machine, and it’s hard to imagine them letting him go in any circumstance, never mind in a swap deal.
