Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keen to bring Glen Kamara to Ibrox this month.

It was reported by the Evening Telegraph this week that Rangers have made a £50,000 bid to sign Glen Kamara during the January transfer window having already agreed a pre-contract deal with the midfielder.

The Evening Telegraph reports that the Gers have been in talks with Dundee over signing Kamara ahead of schedule, and the report suggested that the six-figure bid had been made.

And perhaps Rangers have received a boost in their hopes of signing Kamara – thanks to a former Ibrox target.

Dundee have announced that they have signed Ethan Robson on loan from Sunderland until the end of the season. The youngster – who, according to The Sun in February 2018, was on Rangers’ radar – could perhaps leave the path clear for Kamara to move on this month.

It remains to be seen if Steven Gerrard decides to step up his interest in Kamara before the deadline tonight. Rangers appear to have the depth in the middle of the park to cope without the Finland international for the time-being.

But with a Scottish Premiership title challenge potentially on the horizon, Gerrard may decide that it is worth spending a little extra and getting Kamara in ahead of the rest of the season, especially now that Dundee have strengthened their options in that area of the field.
