Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Nikola Katic at Ibrox.

Rangers have been quite busy this summer. Not only have the Ibrox club appointed a new manager in Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, but the Gers have also secured the signings of Scott Arfield, Allan McGregor and Ovie Ejaria, as well made the loan deal of Jamie Murphy permanent.
There could be another player arriving at Ibrox. According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are interested in signing Nikola Katic from Slaven Belupo and are confident of bringing him to the Scottish Premiership club.

It has also been reported that the 21-year-old Croatia international defender, who is claimed to be valued at £1.2 million, is open to the idea of joining Rangers where he can expect to have his £1500-a-week salary to increase.
The Scottish Sun has also reported that Belupo will not stand in the way of the youngster leaving should Rangers agree to pay the £1.2m transfer fee.

This is certainly a boost to Rangers’ chances of securing the services of Katic in the summer transfer window, with the player himself open to moving to Ibrox and his club not trying to stop him, and perhaps a deal will be hammered out in the coming days.
