Have Glasgow Rangers’ hopes of keeping Championship striker Jason Cummings at in the Scottish Premiership at Ibrox just improved?

Steven Gerrard’s arrival at Rangers has certainly stoked the fans’ optimism and excitement so far. The Ibrox faithful are all asking one question and one queston only: Who is Gerrard going to sign?
It’s a pertinent question, especially given that recruitment will be key if the 37-year-old is to bridge the gap to Celtic’s brilliance, but there should also be an emphasis on who is staying with the Light Blues.
Jason Cummings, on loan from Nottingham Forest, is a boyhood Gers fan and six goals in eight starts since joining in January suggests that Gerrard should probably try and sign him on a permanent basis.
And could that be a distinct possibility soon?

Greek publication Sportdog are reporting that Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Hull City hitman Abel Hernandez, valued by Transfermarkt at around £6.1 million.
And if Forest boss Aitor Karanka can snap him up then surely it opens the door for Cummings – signed by ex-Rangers boss Mark Warburton from Hibernian last summer – to join the Ibrox side on a full-time basis.
It doesn’t appear as if the Scottish marksman has much future at the City Ground, and Gerrard, if he wants to keep Cummings, should be hoping that Nottingham Forest
