Glasgow Rangers youngster Dapo Mebude has previously trained with Steven Gerrard’s first team squad.

Glasgow Rangers are preparing for a midweek tie against Cowdenbeath.
A key objective must be to win the tie early, allowing manager Steven Gerrard to give opportunity to young players to show their quality from the bench.
One who could be in line to feature may be promising young striker Dapo Mebude.
Rangers dropped a hint yesterday by leaving him out of Graeme Murty’s under-20 side which took on Ross County, winning 2-1.
Rangers’ official website acknowledged the absence of forwards Zak Rudden and Andy Dallas due to loan spells.
Yet as winger Josh McPake was pressed into an emergency striker role, Mebude’s absence was not addressed.

By not having him feature for the under-20s despite the team’s need for a striker yesterday, Rangers appear to have indicated they have more pressing plans for Mebude.
The prolific youngster can hope for a spot on the bench against Cowdenbeath at best.
If his more senior teammates can score a couple of goals early on, it could be time for him to make his long awaited debut.
