Tottenham Hotspur have now gone four Premier League matches without a win as they drew 1-1 at Watford in their latest outing.
It is a run of form that has seen the North Londoners drop to seventh in the table and they are now 18 points off leaders Manchester City.

It would therefore perhaps not be too harsh, even at this early stage, to say Spurs won’t win the title but was manager Mauricio Pochettino publicly admitting this damaging to the team?
Pochettino revealed this after the 1-1 draw at home to West Bromwich Albion and since then the Argentine’s side have lost at Leicester City and now drawn at Vicarage Road.
When asked if his team were now out of the title race, the 45-year-old was quoted by the Sun: “Yes. It’s true now that the gap is ten points and it’s massive in the Premier League.”

Judging by the results and performances since this admission from Pochettino, has it had an adverse effect on his players with that gap having now opened up to 18 points?
Under the South American they only lost four matches all season in 2016/17, but they have already suffered defeat on four occasions this term with 15 fixtures played.
