The Tottenham Hotspur youngster reportedly turned down a new deal and planned to use the Olympics to attract a new club, but his poor form has allegedly seem him dropped by his country.

It is fair to say Tottenham Hotspur winger Nathan Oduwa is not having the best of times right now; the bright start he made to last season long since forgotten and replaced by a series of disappointments.
Oduwa excelled in his early months on loan at Rangers but after dropping to the bench and seeing his spell in Scotland cut short, the 20-year-old struggled during another temporary stint, this time at Colchester United.

Heading out with his country this summer he will have been hoping to get things back on track. However, the Tottenham youngster looked woefully out of sorts during an international tournament for Nigeria’s under-23s and now owngoalnigeria.com is reporting that Oduwa has been dropped by the Super Eagles for their upcoming Olympic campaign.
That is no surprise considering how poor he looked in his recent performances and yet a summer back in London could give him the time he needs to reflect on where things have gone wrong, and more importantly how he can put them right.

A recent report from Sky Sports claimed Oduwa is refusing to sign a new contract at White Hart Lane and was hoping to use the Olympics to impress potential buyers. But those alleged plans appear to have taken a cruel twist.
There is no doubting Oduwa’s talent, yet he needs to get his head back in the game and a smart player would use this pre-season at Tottenham to put his problems behind him and impress current manager Mauricio Pochettino.
