Tottenham Hotspur are chasing Tanguy Ndombele.

Sky Sports reported this week that it will take £63 million for Tottenham to sign Tanguy Ndombele.
Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas told L’Equipe yesterday that no club had come near their asking price.
Aulas is notoriously difficult to negotiate with, and it may not be as straightforward for Spurs as simply meeting the reported demands.
That’s why it has to be seen as a positive that Lyon have already identified a potential replacement for Ndombele.
French outlet Le Progres report Lyon are making Lille midfielder Thiago Mendes a priority.

Mendes has reportedly liked posts about Lyon on social media in recent weeks and Lyon are preparing an offer, with Le Progres reporting they expect a deal to eventually go through.
Mendes is a skilful defensive minded midfielder, and would be an excellent replacement for Ndombele.
If Lyon have their replacement lined up and acquired, then Aulas has less reason to be difficult over Ndombele, which helps Tottenham out.
