Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves was said to be high on Liverpool’s wishlist this summer.

Liverpool were heavily linked with Ruben Neves in the summer, with FourFourTwo reporting that Jurgen Klopp’s side were massively keen to take the playmaker.
The Daily Mail claim that Neves was valued at £60 million by Wolves last summer, and no deal was done between Liverpool and the Midlands side.
But Nuno has suggested that Wolves have received interest in one of their key men.
He said: “(A big club already approached us) and the player is still here. Because he wants to be. The moment that it fees natural that you can’t stop these things anymore then okay. It’s natural. Things happen naturally.”
If Wolves were lose Neves it would be a massive blow to their chances, but Liverpool could still be on the look out for central midfielders.

Although Klopp’s side did bring in Fabinho and Naby Keita, the pair have both made slow starts at Anfield.
Neves is still regarded as one of the brightest young talents in England, and Wolves are sure to have to fend off interest in the Portuguese international over the coming years, regardless of whether Liverpool are interested or not.
