Leeds owner is aiming to build on his connections – and Arsenal are ready to let Nelson leave on loan.
Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani admits he has been playing it safe this season in the transfer market, and is waiting for the all clear to start using his business connections to aid with player recruitment.
Pointing to Wolves’ success as the path he wants to follow, Radrizzani now wants to tap into his contacts to help Leeds, he told TalkSport.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported: “Prior to buying an initial 50 per cent stake in Leeds in December 2016, Radrizzani gave up shares and a directorship in a separate agency, Football Capital, in the belief that retaining the stake would contravene EFL regulations.”
So it makes sense Radrizzani in light of his comments will look back towards Football Capital for potential additions.
Top of his list could be Arsenal wonderkid Reiss Nelson.
Nelson is listed on Football Capital’s website as one of their top clients, and with good reason.
The 17-year-old winger made his debut for the Gunners earlier this season in the Europa League, putting in a performance which prompted Martin Keown to compare him to Neymar [via The Mirror].
So could Leeds actually get him? A fresh report this week makes it very viable.
The timing of this report coupled with Radrizzani’s comments about using his contacts and wanting to sign top young players might suddenly combine to make Leeds favourites to recruit the exciting talent for next season.
