Iorfa joined Sheffield Wednesday on deadline day, while Leeds are lacking at the back.

Sheffield Wednesday completed the deadline-day signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Dominic Iorfa on a permanent basis – but should Leeds United have rivalled the Owls to his signature?
Announced on Wednesday’s official website, 23-year-old Iorfa completed a move to Hillsborough from Wolves, after failing to make a single appearance for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season.
Iorfa broke onto the scene at Wolves as a youngster and has clocked up 93 appearances for the Midlands side since, but he had little chance of breaking into the side past Connor Coady, Willy Boly, Ryan Bennett and Leander Dendoncker.
Sky Sports claim Wednesday landed Iorfa for a bargain £500,000 fee, and Leeds should be wondering why they did not make a move for the powerhouse centre-back – who can also play on the right side of defence.
Leeds remain light at centre-back after failing to bring a defender to Elland Road in January. Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson remain the club’s only senior, recognised centre-backs.
Right-backs Luke Ayling and Gaetano Berardi, midfielder Kalvin Phillips and youngster Aapo Halme have filled in, with both Cooper and Jansson suffering injuries and suspensions this season.

At such a bargain figure of just £500,000, Leeds would have brought a player who has 107 Championship appearances under his belt, as well as offering pace at the back and a physical presence.
Instead, the Whites overlooked the ex-Wolves star, and he has instead joined bitter Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday. Perhaps, Leeds missed a trick in landing Iorfa.
