Everton may have missed out on Kasper Dolberg already.

Of all Everton’s potential striker options this summer and in January, Kasper Dolberg might have been the best.
An Ajax teammate of Davy Klaassen, Dolberg scored prolificly last season as the Dutch side reached the Europa League final.
While Everton did not sign a centre forward to replace Romelu Lukaku, one positive was that Dolberg also ended the transfer window at Ajax.

This potentially would mean he could be a viable option for Everton in January if he replicates his form – but now he could be off the table.

Dortmund’s new boss is Ajax’s manager from last season Peter Bosz, and it makes sense that he would be looking to bring in the exciting talent.
The German club have big money to spent after cashing in on Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona.
Everton’s interest in Dolberg appears to have been a casualty of that, and the Toffees only have themselves to blame by not making a move when they brought Klassen in too.
