Newcastle United January signing Martin Dubravka was superb against Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend.

Rob Elliot has played 16 Premier League matches for Newcastle United so far this season, while fellow goalkeeper and teammate Karl Darlow has featured in 10 league games.
Martin Dubravka has played just once in the top flight of English football for Newcastle, but if his performance against Manchester United at the weekend is anything is go by, then it is likely that the 29-year-old will remain between the posts for the Magpies between now and the end of the season.

Signed on loan from Sparta Prague in the January transfer window, the Slovakia international goalkeeper was superb for Newcastle in their 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s United at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this past Sunday.
The 29-year-old made a number of saves, and given that he was signed in January, it looks as if he will be manager Rafael Benitez’s first-choice goalkeeper for the rest of the season.

Elliot and Darlow are good goalkeepers, but with no cup games for Newcastle between now and the rest of the season, the 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international and the 27-year-old Englishman may have already played their last games for the Magpies for the 2017-18 campaign.
