Celtic reportedly want young defender Fikayo Tomori.

Celtic were linked with signing Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea earlier this month.
The Mirror [19/05, page 66] reported Celtic’s interest in the promising young centre-back.
Tomori has been on loan at Derby County this season. The Rams’ play-off final can only work in Celtic’s favour.
Tomori will head back to Chelsea now with his season over.
He will first fancy a shot at the Blues first team, but this won’t be easy.
Celtic have an opportunity to offer him another step up from Derby if he’s not ready for Chelsea’s first team.

The talented centre-back could replace departing loanee Filip Benkovic, who is returning to Leicester.
Celtic can offer Tomori a shot at Champions League football, and at minimum Europa League. This would be preferable to another year in England’s Championship.
It would be wrong to consider Derby totally out of the running to bring him back for another season, but it is not in Tomori’s interests to stand still. If they had won promotion, they would have been leading contenders.
Now Celtic should consider stepping up their efforts to landing the centre-back.
