‘Hate to say that’: Some Leeds fans react to Jack Grealish’s comments

Leeds United fans have responded on Twitter to Jack Grealish questioning why their supporters give him ‘stick’.

The Aston Villa captain was responding to accusations that he ‘dives’ and didn’t understand why the Leeds fans seemingly have a say on the matter.

Grealish told Sky Sports that he can understand fans of Villa’s local rivals – Birmingham, Wolves and West Brom – giving him ‘stick’, but not those from Yorkshire.

Well, Leeds fans have had their say on the matter on social media, with some making the admission that he is a top-quality player who has a bad habit of going down too easily.

In the Championship, both Villa and Leeds were involved in some tasty affairs, including one controversial match at Elland Road which resulted in the home side giving Dean Smith’s men an uncontested goal.

Nonetheless, with Leeds back in the big time, along with Villa, and Grealish’s stock rising by the week, he will only get more and more attention from fans across the country.

In some regard, he can take it as a compliment because if he wasn’t one of the best playmakers in the division than opposition fans wouldn’t be fussed.
