Leeds United are flying high in the Championship this season.
Former Leeds United striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been speaking to Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday about the situation at Elland Road this season.
So often in recent years Whites fans have got to the midway point of a campaign and wondered where it all went wrong, but this time round they are flying high and look on course for a play-off place if not better come May.

Hasselbaink has certainly been impressed by what he has seen on the pitch, and he even reserved special praise for a man who strongly divides opinion among the fan base – joint-owner Massimo Cellino.
“It’s a Premier League club and hopefully they can do it,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday.
“They are in the top six and if he (manager Garry Monk) can keep pushing the top two they might have a good chance.
“Cellino doesn’t get a lot of praise but with Monk in there and him in the background, that has helped Monk big time…just being allowed to get on with the job.”

Not many Leeds managers have been able to say that in recent years. However Monk has proved to be a smart appointment and after a disappointing start he has got this side playing to their full potential week in, week out.
There is still a lot of work to do, but few would bet against Leeds finishing in the top six in this kind of form.
