Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be looking for additions in January, and Southampton’s Nathan Redmond could fit.

Tottenham Hotspur scout Chris Powell has told the Totally Football Show that he was at Chelsea’s match against Southampton in a professional capacity.

Powell has been working at Spurs since November, and was tasked with going to Southampton’s match against Chelsea in the Premier League recently.

Spurs are assessing their options ahead of the January transfer window, and Nathan Redmond looks one of the more likely targets.

Given that Chelsea are unlikely to want to do business with Spurs, Powell seems far more likely to have his eyes on a Southampton player.

And Redmond appears to be a player, who could fit in with Tottenham’s squad.

Redmond would fit in well at Spurs, given his potential, and he plays in an area where Mauricio Pochettino is looking to upgrade.

Tottenham would like another attacker, with Pochettino confirming that he wants players who commit defenders, as teams often sit deep against his team.

Redmond certainly fits that criteria, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs will make a move for the 23-year-old in the coming month.
