Aston Villa have completed a deal for the Barnsley man but their chairman has suggested a very busy day is on the cards.
Aston Villa chairman Tony Xia has taken to Twitter to suggest fans should prepare for a busy day of news at the club.
Villa have been linked with a number of new signings this month and their manager Steve Bruce will be keen to get the remaining deals over the line sooner rather than later.
Shortly after Xia’s tweet, Villa officially announced the signing of defender James Bree from Championship rivals Barnsley, but given the wording of the chairman’s message, that may not be the end of today’s business.

“Busy, busy day today,” Xia wrote, and while one new signing would certainly suggest a good day, a busy one may mean at least two new arrivals at Villa Park before their staff head home for the day.
That is mere speculation for now, but Villa will know time is running out in the current transfer window and they will not want to be holding out for late deals in the final few hours next Tuesday.
