Liverpool fans have appealed for Xherdan Shaqiri to start this weekend, as their injury problems mount.
Shaqiri appeared to be in danger of leaving Liverpool in the summer, but he has quickly proven his worth this season.
The Swiss international has been in excellent form off the bench for the Reds, with the 29-year-old earning great praise.
And many Liverpool fans now think that Shaqiri should be given a chance to start against Leicester City on Sunday.
If Shaqiri is picked for the Reds it would be his first Premier League start of the season.
Shaqiri feature in either central midfield or an attacking slot, with his versatility useful for Klopp at the moment.
Liverpool are seriously low on numbers in midfield currently, with the likes of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all sidelined.
Jurgen Klopp has actually played a 4-2-3-1 system recently, and if he sticks with that formation then that could suit Shaqiri.
The former Bayern Munich and Stoke man would surely be included in Liverpool’s attacking quartet if that was to be the case, as he has looked so dangerous in cameo appearances this term.
