Liverpool return to Champions League action on Tuesday and some supporters on social media are demanding Jurgen Klopp starts Takumi Minamino against Porto.

The Reds opened their group stage efforts with a 3-2 win over AC Milan a fortnight ago. While Porto held Atletico Madrid to a goalless draw, despite falling to 10-men in Spain.

Minamino watched the action against Milan from the bench, as he also has for much of the Premier League season.

The Japan international is yet to play a single second in the top-flight, with his only action so far in the Carabao Cup.

Klopp started Minamino at Norwich City in the cup, and saw the 26-year-old score twice as Liverpool won 3-0. He replaced Sadio Mane on the left-wing of the Anfield outfit’s attack at Carrow Road, before moving into a deeper central midfield role and impressing Klopp.

The German could now look to double Minamino’s haul of starts against Porto on Tuesday night. Doing so would also delight some Liverpool fans.
