
Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Diogo Jota was sent home early from international duty due to a slight muscle problem.
The Portuguese international has seemingly picked up an issue and with the Reds facing Watford on Saturday, it’s fair to say he’s a doubt for this one.
Liverpool fans inevitably had plenty to say about this news online, but rather than panicking, fans managed to stay calm, calling for Takumi Minamino to take his place in the team.
The shouts for Minamino are rather interesting, especially as Jurgen Klopp could easily call upon Roberto Firmino to slot in for Jota, but Liverpool supporters seemingly would rather see the Japan star get a chance.
Some fans noted just how well Minamino has played in the past when their games have been in the 12:30PM timeslot, so perhaps that’s why supporters want him to get a shot here.
To be honest, Watford shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge to Liverpool here, so they shouldn’t miss Jota too much, and who knows? Maybe Minamino will make a case for starting on a weekly basis if he’s given a chance.
