Speaking on the Leeds That Podcast, Hayden Evans has been discussing his client Charlie Cresswell and his current situation at Leeds.
The centre-back has been a star in the U23s for years at this point, but he’s barely gotten a sniff at first-team level, and as you can imagine, he’s itching to play more football.
Evans says that he can understand why fans are frustrated about Cresswell’s situation, but he also states that the defender understands why he hasn’t been playing.
The agent concluded that his client needs to start playing more football soon and that he will chat with Leeds in the summer about his situation.

Evans spoke about Cresswell.
“You get the frustration of certain fans who say if they’re good enough they’re old enough and they should be given opportunities, but there is a reasonable understanding about why he’s not getting the minutes he might want when you see who is in front of him. But he has to get more football soon, we’ll have the usual conversations in the summer and see where it goes from there,” Evans said.
Chance could be coming
There’s good news and bad news for Charlie Cresswell here.
The good news is that a chance could be on the horizon for the defender, but the bad news is that this opportunity may only come if Leeds are relegated.
Think about it, the likes of Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are unlikely to stick around at Elland Road if they’re playing second-tier football, and if they go, a space could open up in the defence for Cresswell.
Relegation would be awful for Leeds, but on a personal note, Cresswell could benefit.
