Speaking on the Pitch Side Podcast, Andy Robertson has named who he believes to be the best signing Liverpool have made since he joined the club.

Robertson joined the Reds in the summer of 2017, and it’s fair to say that the Reds have made some incredible signings since then.

In fact, most of this team has been built post-2017 with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho and Darwin Nunez arriving after Robertson.

However, according to the Scot, the best signing Liverpool have made since he joined the club is Mohamed Salah.

Salah the best signing

Robertson named Salah as the best signing Liverpool have made since his arrival.

“Obviously Virgil was a big one and Alisson was a big one, but it has to be Mo with the records he’s set and stuff like that. I signed in the same summer as him and there was not as much hype around me as him. He’s hit the ground running and he hasn’t stopped. So I would say in my time it is probably Mo,” Robertson said.

Undeniable

As much as the likes of van Dijk and Alisson are bona fide Liverpool legends, Salah is undeniably the best signing Liverpool have made in recent years.

Just over £30m for a player who has won three Golden Boot awards and is on-course to become the club’s all-time record goalscorer in the Premier League.

When all is said and done, Salah may well go down as one of the top five players to ever turn out for this great club, and that is some achievement.

Actually, alongside Kenny Dalglish from Celtic way back in the day, Salah may go down as the best signing Liverpool have ever made.
