Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been chatting about Tammy Abraham after his brace for Roma against Lazio.

Wright has always championed Abraham ever since he burst onto the scene at Chelsea, and now that he’s making a splash at Roma, he’s given him even more praise.

Inevitably, the Arsenal legend pondered how the England international would get on if he was at the Emirates, and he believes that he’d be brilliant at finishing the chances that Arsenal create.

What’s been said?

Wright was full of praise for Abraham.

“Tammy has the hunger to finish the chances that Arsenal aren’t finishing right now. They are making chances but someone is not in there taking them. Tammy is at that stage now where he would be in there gobbling all that up,” Wright said.

“He’s gone to Roma and it’s a massive club and he’s the main man, he was from the first game.”

Would be brilliant

Tammy Abraham may not be the most gifted footballer in the world, but he’s proven this season once again that he’s a brilliant finisher.

He’s shown it at Bristol City, Aston Villa and Chelsea, when he gets chances he scores goals, and with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe driving Arsenal’s creativity, a striker like Abraham could be just what the Gunners need.

Unfortunately, we can’t imagine that Roma would be too keen to let the Englishman go after his fantastic season in Serie A.
