Tottenham made an attempt to sign Isco 18 months ago, could developments tempt them this summer?

Real Madrid’s meltdown this season appears to be pointing towards a summer shake up, and superstar Isco could be heading for the exit.
This season Isco has scored five goals and four assists but has not been a regular starter, last playing back to back league games in November.

The developments should put Tottenham Hotspur on high alert, after they attempted to sign him back in 2016.
Mauricio Pochettino admitted this last year, praised Isco’s ‘magic’ talent.
He told AS: “Every manager wants to sign the very best and he is one of the best players in the world.
“He is one of the best in the world. I have seen him at different clubs and his creativity is simply outside of the norm. He is at the stage now where he is fully matured. His magic is plain to see.”

That was earlier in the season when Isco was the flavour of the month in Madrid, but Zidane has seemingly had enough, and knows only a major shake up will keep his job.
Signing Isco has not been possible until now for Spurs, now the door appears to be open for them.
Tottenham took advantage of Lucas Moura’s plight at PSG to sign the Brazilian last month, and this summer they should become opportunists once again to land the Spain international who Mauricio Pochettino admires so greatly.
