Speaking on the Spurs Versus Podcast, Micky Hazard has expressed his doubts about the idea of Graham Potter becoming the next manager of Tottenham.
Potter has of course been strongly linked with the Spurs job in recent weeks, but Hazard believes that appointing the Brighton boss wouldn’t bring the feel-good factor back to Tottenham.
“Potter of Brighton seems to want to play that way, but there’s also a feel-good factor that we need when we make this appointment. We have to appease a lot of people, but I’m not sure Potter would appease in the way Bielsa or Rodgers might,” Hazard said.
Would Rodgers appease? I’m not even sure he would. At least he’s been at Liverpool and been successful at Celtic, so he’s got a background of relative success, whereas Potter has struggled at the foot of the table, and while he’s done a good job, I’m not sure he’s the right appointment.”

This is certainly an interesting point of view.
Potter is undoubtedly a very talented coach who knows his stuff, but as Hazard says, his CV isn’t the most impressive.
Would he bring that feel-good factor back to Spurs? Not immediately, but given the way his Brighton team plays football, we have to imagine that it wouldn’t take long for him to win the fanbase over.
The players are reportedly already sold on the idea of Potter becoming Spurs’ next boss, so he certainly has a good chance of getting the job.
