Kenedy’s form since signing on loan for Newcastle United in the summer may actually be bringing him into their price-range.

Newcastle had Kenedy on loan from Chelsea towards the back end of last campaign and the Brazilian was simply brilliant.

Chelsea were said to be looking for big money for the skilful winger in the summer, as his form at Newcastle was so good.

Rafael Benitez ultimately had to settle for signing the 22-year-old on a temporary basis, as they couldn’t afford him.

But Kenedy’s inconsistent form since arriving in the summer could have made signing him on a permanent transfer possible.

Kenedy hasn’t reached the heights of last season so far this term, and there is no doubting that his value will have fallen.

With Newcastle still shopping on a limited budget, the dream of signing Kenedy may now have become a real possibility, which means his slow start to the campaign may actually work out for the best for Benitez’s side in the long-term.
