The Rangers linked midfielder Jack Wilshere has showed off his ‘new club celebration’ on Instagram as his post West Ham United search for employment continues.
Wilshere has been widely tipped for a move to Rangers, where his former England colleague Steven Gerrard is manager.
Speaking to Sky Sports after leaving West Ham last month, the 28-year-old claimed he had held talks with people who ‘rate him’ as a footballer and ‘want’ him.
But he stopped short of naming any of the interested parties, including Rangers.
On Tuesday, though, he posted the following clip to his story, which may lead some to believe that an update on his future is imminent.
Despite the Gerrard connection, a move to Rangers is perhaps not the most logical destination for Wilshere.
The Gers only recently added to their central midfield options – of which there are plenty – with the signing of Bongani Zungu on loan from Amiens.
Gerrard’s side have an option to turn Zungu’s deal permanent next summer, when the contract of Steven Davis, another player in Wilshere’s position, is also due to expire.

Wilshere, who began his career at Arsenal, only played 19 times for West Ham, his boyhood club, before having his contract terminated nine months early.
Rangers or other? Where will Wilshere end up after quitting West Ham?
