According to a report in The Glasgow Evening Times earlier this week, Rangers are interested in Kenny McLean from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.

It was reported that Rangers have made a move to sign McLean from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen this summer.

According to the report, the Gers have stepped up their interest in the 25-year-old midfielder and have made a bid.

McLean is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, and Rangers would have a much better team with the midfielder in it.

The Scotland international knows the Scottish Premiership inside out, and his performances for Aberdeen last season were very impressive.

However, it seems that Rangers will not be able to secure the services of McLean this summer. The Scottish Sun has claimed that Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes has been given assurances by the club that the midfielder will not be sold.

According to the report in The Scottish Sun, Rangers had opened talks and has started negotiations at £500,000 for McLean, but one of McInnes’s stipulations in not leaving Aberdeen for Sunderland was that he would not lose his best players in the summer transfer window.

This means that Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers will have to move on from McLean.
