Leeds United are said to be keen to sign Barnsley defender Andy Yiadom.

If Leeds United manage to complete a deal for Andy Yiadom then it may be crucial that the right-back succeeds at Elland Road.
And if Yiadom is a success at Leeds then it may just convince Andrea Radrizzani that Victor Orta shouldn’t have so much say over transfers.

Orta has come in for criticism for his role in Leeds’ failings this season, as their recruitment has been rather hit and miss.
While there were some credible additions last summer, many of Orta’s signings have failed to make an impact at Elland Road.
And Heckingbottom will only strengthen his case for having more control over transfers, if Yiadom does hit the ground running at Leeds.

There is no doubting that Leeds need to add quality if they are to have a chance of reaching the top six next term, but it is not yet clear who will have the most say over their summer targets.
Heckingbottom may just have an opportunity to wrestle some power away from Orta though, if Yiadom does impress for the Whites.
And that will make it even more imperative that Yiadom does catch the eye, if he joins Leeds, as the bulk of the Elland Road crowd are keen to see their manager have more of a say in their recruitment.
