Ouasim Bouy may be forced to return to the Championship with Leeds United in January after failing to make an impact at Spanish side Cultural Leonesa.

While Mateusz Klich, Felix Wiedwald, Jay-Roy Grot and co haven’t really made the required impact since signing for Leeds United in the summer, at least they’ve enjoyed a better season than Ouasim Bouy.
Unlike the aforementioned trio, Bouy did not go directly into Leeds’ first team when they picked him up on a free following his release from Juventus. Instead, the Championship giants loaned the Moroccan midfielder out to Spanish second tier side Cultural Leonesa, widely viewed as Leeds’ sister club.

But it’s fair to say Bouy has not exactly set the world alight in Spain. The 24-year-old has made just two league appearances for Leonesa, totalling just 54 minutes.
And Reynournal is now reporting that the Segunda side could even cancel Bouy’s loan as early as January as he is not in the manager’s plans. The report adds that the former Hamburg and Ajax talent could even be sent out on another loan if forced to return to West Yorkshire ahead of schedule.

Bouy’s struggles certainly haven’t aided his hopes of making an impact in Leeds’ first-team. If they were willing to farm the versatile talent out straight after signing him, this doesn’t exactly suggest that Leeds saw Bouy as a player for the present.
There could be a very real concern, then, that Bouy has tumbled even further down the pecking order at Leeds without even playing a game for the club.
