Newcastle United and Leicester City reportedly want Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend.

Newcastle United seem desperate to re-sign Andros Townsend. The England international may have spent just half a season at the Magpies following his move from Tottenham Hotspur in January 2016 before joining Crystal Palace, but it appears that manager Rafael Benitez wants him.
On Thursday, South London Press & Mercury claimed that Newcastle are interested in re-signing the winger who left the Magpies for Palace in the summer of 2016 following their relegation to the Championship.

The 26-year-old had joined Newcastle from Tottenham only in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £12 million.
A report in The Mirror this afternoon has reported that the Magpies have made a £20 million bid for Townsend, who earns £55,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com.

Bid backfires?
Newcastle’s (reported) bid of £20m for Townsend, though, seems to have backfired. According to The Mirror, Palace have stated that they will not sell for the former Spurs winger for £20m and are hoping for a bidding war with Leicester City.
Leicester are also reported to be interested in Townsend, and it seems that the Eagles want to make as much money as possible from the deal… and who can blame them!
