Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is yet to make an appearance this season due to injury.

Pochettino has spoken enthusiatiscally about Ben Davies’ rise to prominence at Spurs this season, with the Welsh left-back in fine form.
And Pochettino has praised Davies’ professionalism, which reads like a pointed comment to his rival for the left-back slot, Rose.
“He’s worked so hard to get to this moment,” Pochettino said. “He’s always been professional, and that is why the club are so proud of him.

“For me, he is one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.”
Rose is set to return to fitness in the near future at Spurs, but his place in Pochettino’s first-team is far from certain now.
Rose frustrated Spurs in the summer, when he put out an ill-advised statement suggesting that he deserved to be on more money.
The comments from the England international came just before the start of the campaign, and are certain to have gone down badly with Pochettino.

In Rose’ absence, Davies has been in superb form – and he scored for Tottenham during their 4-0 victory over Huddersfield Town last weekend.
Davies has proven now that he is capable of performing regularly for Spurs, and it may be that Rose has to watch on from the substitutes’ bench for a while, as Pochettino’s comments do not read like good news for him.
