Burnley, Everton and Wolves are reportedly interested in Yaya Toure but, with the midfielder wanting to stay in Manchester, who has the advantage?

The future of Yaya Toure remains an interesting prospect, with the midfielder set to leave Manchester City this summer after eight years with the club.

Toure wants to continue playing in the Premier League and according to the Mirror, Burnley, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers have already shown interest in signing him.

The Ivory Coast international, who recently lifted the third of three league titles won while at the Etihad Stadium, has admitted that while facing City would be tough, England is now his home.

“Yes, because of my family. My kids, for me, are British. They go to school here, they have a lot of friends in Manchester. Manchester is their town,” Toure said.

“I would never celebrate a goal against City. I don’t want to face them, but if I want to stay in the Premier League, I’ll have to.”

If Toure is hoping to continue living in Manchester, then both the Clarets and the Toffees arguably have an advantage over their West Midlands rivals.

Liverpool is just 34.6 miles away, while Burnley is even closer at 27.9 miles. However, Wolverhampton is 83.8 miles and could prove a little too far to commute each day.

While there will of course be several other reasons behind any decision of where Toure will move next, this could give the North West clubs an early edge in the race for the 34-year-old’s signature.
