Brentford midfielder was linked with Leeds, and is now looking for a new club.

Leeds United now have an opportunity to snap up Lewis Macleod for free this summer after his release from Brentford was confirmed.
The big question is whether the Whites will still be interested in the attacking midfielder after a frustrating injury hit season.
The Scottish Sun reported in December that Leeds were eyeing a potential move for Macleod as a replacement for Samu Saiz, who was set to leave on loan at the time and subsequently did.
Macleod remained at Brentford, and has had a really frustrating 2019.
Since the Leeds rumours, Macleod has been sidelined with injury.
He has played only nine minutes this calendar year, making his return in March from the bench against Wigan.

Macleod’s chance to earn a move to Leeds may have passed him by as a result, even on a free.
Leeds put their hope in loanee Izzy Brown to replace Saiz.
His own comeback from injury has proved troublesome for Leeds, who appear to have given up on him.
So that would raise further questions over whether Leeds would be so willing to gamble on another player coming back from injury, even for free.
If the Whites want to take a punt, the 24-year-old Scot with three goals in 15 games this season could be an astute addition… if he can stay fit.
